Are you a hardworking individual seeking a role in warehouse operations? We have an immediate opening for a Material Handler in our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania facility. This position is essential for managing the flow of materials throughout the warehouse. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials for various stages of the **logistics** process, including receiving, storage, and shipping. The ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently is key. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and require adherence to all **safety** guidelines, including the proper use of **PPE**. Your role will be vital in ensuring our operations run smoothly and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials and products.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials safely.
- Load and unload trucks for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Organize warehouse inventory, ensuring efficient use of space.
- Prepare materials for production or shipment, staging them in designated areas.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all **safety** regulations and company policies, including the correct use of **PPE**.
- Perform **Lifting** and movement of materials, which may exceed 50 lbs.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our **logistics** department.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
Certification to operate forklifts or other relevant machinery is a plus.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including **Lifting** heavy objects.
Strong understanding of warehouse **safety** procedures and **PPE**.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Familiarity with **logistics** principles and inventory management.
