Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our New York City, New York location. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our inventory systems, which is critical to our overall logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, managing stock rotation, and implementing strategies to minimize shrinkage and ensure product availability. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of inventory management principles, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and exceptional attention to detail. You will work collaboratively with warehouse teams to uphold inventory accuracy and support smooth operations. A commitment to a safe working environment is crucial; adherence to all safety guidelines, including the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices, is expected. This position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to contribute to a high-volume logistics environment. Your primary duties will involve:
  • Conducting regular and ad-hoc cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Investigating root causes of inventory discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Managing the organization and layout of inventory within the warehouse.
  • Implementing and monitoring inventory control procedures.
  • Analyzing inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of data entry into the inventory management system.
  • Assisting with physical inventory counts as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all inventory movements.
  • Supporting receiving and shipping processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Promoting a safety-first culture, including proper handling and lifting techniques.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs may be required. This role is fundamental to optimizing our logistics flow and ensuring efficient operations within a demanding urban environment. We are looking for an individual dedicated to accuracy and operational excellence.
