We are looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments at our Boise, Idaho facility. The Receiving Clerk is essential to our logistics chain, responsible for accurately documenting, inspecting, and organizing all goods that arrive. This role requires a keen eye for detail to ensure the integrity of our inventory and prevent discrepancies. You will work closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to facilitate a smooth receiving process. Maintaining a safe and organized receiving dock is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label inventory appropriately.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to management promptly.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and audits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills and data entry.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles is beneficial.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to proper handling procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with using a forklift or other material handling equipment is an advantage.
