We are looking for a meticulous and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, proper packaging, and timely dispatch. You will work closely with our warehouse and transportation teams to facilitate the smooth flow of goods to our customers. Accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to Safety are essential for success in this position. Understanding of shipping procedures and documentation is highly valued. Key responsibilities include:
- Accurately preparing shipments for dispatch, including generating shipping labels and documentation.
- Verifying order details against packed items before shipment.
- Ensuring that all packages are properly secured and packaged to prevent damage during transit.
- Coordinating with shipping carriers for pickup schedules and tracking information.
- Maintaining accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
- Loading outgoing shipments onto delivery trucks.
- Communicating with warehouse staff to resolve any shipping discrepancies.
- Adhering to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Proper use of required PPE , such as safety vests and gloves.
- Assisting with inventory management and stocktaking as needed.
