Job Summary:
Our Sacramento, California warehouse is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is paramount in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and availability of our inventory. You will be responsible for developing and implementing inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, analyzing inventory data, and identifying root causes of discrepancies. Your expertise will help optimize stock levels, minimize waste, and improve the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. You will work closely with various departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to ensure seamless inventory management. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and data analysis is essential. You must be adept at problem-solving and possess a meticulous attention to detail. Safety is a top priority; therefore, adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques, is required. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong background in inventory management to make a significant impact on our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing inventory control strategies.
  • Conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies with accuracy.
  • Analyzing inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Monitoring stock levels to ensure product availability and minimize carrying costs.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure effective inventory management.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, including PPE use.
  • Promoting and enforcing safe lifting practices.
  • Recommending process improvements for inventory control.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in WMS and inventory management software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and experience with PPE.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 40 lbs.
