Our Minneapolis, Minnesota facility is looking for a diligent Shipping & Receiving Associate. In this crucial role, you will manage the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. Your responsibilities will include receiving deliveries, inspecting goods, stocking inventory, preparing shipments, and coordinating with carriers. A strong emphasis on safety is paramount; you will be expected to follow all company policies and wear the required PPE to ensure a secure working environment. This position is key to our logistics operations, requiring reliability and excellent organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse environments and a good understanding of shipping and receiving procedures. Your contribution to our logistics chain is vital. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare outbound shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update systems accordingly.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers and internal departments.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving within a logistics environment.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts (certification a plus).
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and inventory control.
