Our Dallas, Texas facility is looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of goods. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, verifying order accuracy, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that our products leave the warehouse on time and in perfect condition. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and has a good understanding of shipping processes and logistics documentation. Your contribution is vital to maintaining our reputation for efficient and reliable delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy of outgoing orders against shipping documents.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation for various carriers.
- Package products securely for shipment, ensuring proper materials are used.
- Stage outgoing shipments for carrier pickup.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and resolve any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Understand and apply principles of effective logistics management for outbound shipments.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with safe lifting and material handling techniques.
- Understanding of warehouse and logistics operations.
- Must be reliable and able to meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
