Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of children by providing attentive care, engaging activities, and a safe, nurturing environment. Duties
- Assist lead teachers and caregivers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote childhood development and early learning skills
- Provide attentive care to children, including feeding, diapering, and ensuring their safety at all times
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop good habits
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including sanitizing toys and learning materials regularly
- Observe and document children's progress, behavior, and milestones for parent updates and team collaboration
- Collaborate with team members to create inclusive activities tailored to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special requirements
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children in daycare, babysitting, or nannying roles
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions among children
- Ability to perform first aid and CPR to ensure safety during emergencies or minor incidents
- Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members
- Familiarity with working with children with disabilities or special needs to support inclusive care
- Classroom experience that demonstrates patience, creativity, and adaptability in dynamic environments
