Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Installer Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems across various commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with HVAC/R systems, and the ability to interpret schematics and design plans. A valid driver's license is required. Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and ventilation equipment according to specifications and schematics
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation
• Read and interpret technical schematics, HVAC design plans, and wiring diagrams
• Troubleshoot system issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment
• Conduct system testing and ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes
• Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC installations and repairs
• Repair refrigeration units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and other related equipment
• Utilize welding skills for ductwork fabrication or repair as needed
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and parts used
• Ensure work areas are clean, safe, and organized throughout projects

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician or installer within the HVAC/R industry
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration, boiler operation, and property maintenance is preferred
• Experience with plumbing, welding, electrical wiring, and appliance repair is advantageous
• Familiarity with field service operations including troubleshooting HVAC systems on-site
• Valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites
• Prior experience working with air conditioning units, ventilation systems, or mechanical equipment is essential
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments requiring physical activity such as lifting or climbing ladders
