About the Role

The Pot + Pan retail team is an integral part of the 'first of its kind' shopping experience we are known for at Pot + Pan Kitchen. We are looking for a Retail Store Associate with an extremely positive attitude and a passion for customer service. In this forward-facing position, you will be an ambassador for our exciting, inclusive, and joyful brand.

• Is punctual and reliable
• Takes a proactive role in maintaining Pot + Pan brand standards, including customer engagement, visual merchandising, and housekeeping
• Can receive feedback and take action when appropriate
• Can communicate effectively with fellow team members and management
• Promotes and maintains a safe + positive work and shopping experience

Part Time Retail Associate

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain Excellent Customer Service

• Charismatic and helpful with customers on the sales floor
• Ability to engage with and manage multiple customers shopping at the same time
• Inform customers of promotions and new products
• Excellent knowledge of all Pot + Pan merchandise
• Ensure all customers leave the store happy and satisfied
• Patience when dealing with difficult customers

Store Operations:

• Report for scheduled shifts punctually
• Uphold store dress code and grooming policy
• Contribute to the store's profitability through upselling techniques + menu knowledge
• Ability to the run with store independently
• Uphold SOPs around inventory management and store presentation
• Uphold SOPs around recreational cannabis sales, policies, and procedures
• Timely with store opening and store closing tasks
• Execution of daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and organizational tasks
• Complete delegated content tasks from Pot + Pan creative team

Store Reporting & Systems

• Reports to the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manage
• Execution of 'End of Day Report' email
• Proactive communication to manage expectations of managers and team members
• Current with POS functions systems and digital menus

Upholding Team Atmosphere

• Proactive communication around scheduling requests and time off needs
• Flexibility with schedule around holidays and busier times of the year
• Foster a safe work space, and maintain level headedness in the event of high stress situations

Staying "in the know"

• Uphold Pot + Pan quality standards for all in-store products
• Awareness of neighborhood events
• Upcoming product launches or discontinuation of products

• Proven work experience working in a retail environment

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to understand and calculate universal retail KPIs and metrics
• Ability to use and stay organized with a Point of Sales (POS) System
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to count the registers and prepare deposits
• Flexible work schedule to accommodate business needs
• Must be able to stand for several hours at a time.
• Must be 21 years of age and pass a criminal background check required by the State of Maine.

Tu-Thur 10:00-6:00

Fri - Sat 10:00 - 7:00

Sun 10:00-3:00

*Standard Store Hours subject to change seasonally and to accommodate holiday weeks

Compensation: $ Tip Share
