Now we're looking for a dynamic Assistant General Manager to help us keep that fire burning.

Who We Are Looking For

As the AGM, you'll be second in command, partnering with the General Manager to run the restaurant, including front of house, back of house, and offsite catering events. The ideal candidate will tackle this role with equal parts leadership, operational focus, and team management. You'll jump from staffing schedules and hiring needs, to inventory management and ordering, to customer service and catering faster than you can say "Brisket" As an AGM you'll need to demonstrate:

  • Strong leadership chops – you can inspire people and hold them accountable in equal measure.
  • Management experience – preferably in a restaurant setting with full service dining.
  • A solid understanding of operations including staffing, expense control, and service execution.
  • The ability to stay cool under pressure (even when the pit's at 225° and the line's out the door).
  • A mix of professionalism and personality- you know how to keep standards high, keep a team engaged, and keep customer's coming back for more.

Principle Duties:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 60+ employees to deliver outstanding food and service
  • Oversee daily operations in collaboration with the GM across the kitchen, bar, dining room, and catering events.
  • Manage scheduling, training, and performance for both FOH and BOH staff in collaboration with the respective managers.
  • Maintain high standards for food and service quality, consistency, and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with financials including budgeting, labor costs, inventory control, and P&L
  • Maintain safety sanitation and compliance with the highest level of standards.
  • Step up as acting GM when needed and make confident business-smart decisions

  • Ability to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, holidays, and scheduled training meetings
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math, grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors

Experience & Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years restaurant or management experience, or combined experience and education.
  • Experience with restaurant leadership, P&L statements, recruiting, and training.
  • Proven track record of successful hiring and retention.
  • Required when needed, the ability to work early morning, evenings, late night, weekends, and some holidays. Schedule demands may change.
  • ServeSafe Certified
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid Driver's license and vehicle insurance.
  • In person job – Must be located near the job site

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
