ML Ops Engineer
Remote, USA

Responsibilities:
ML Infrastructure & System Design
- Architecture: Design and build robust, efficient AI/ML systems for production environments, focusing on backend distributed systems and microservices.
- System Reliability: Ensure operational excellence and reliability of ML systems. Define and enforce SLAs around performance, latency, throughput, and resource utilization.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Lead end-to-end initiatives across Data, Infrastructure, and ML Engineering teams, managing scoping, timelines, and dependencies.
ML Operations & Workflow Optimization
- Collaboration: Work closely with AI/ML engineers to optimize workflows for model training, real-time inference, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Model Management: Develop tools for effective model management, continuous monitoring, and enhancing efficiency throughout the ML lifecycle.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as ML infrastructure expert, providing guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Team Development & Knowledge Sharing
- Mentorship: Actively engage in mentoring team members and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of industry experience.
- Strong familiarity with architectural frameworks for large-scale, distributed ML applications. Experience with LLMs and GenAI is a huge plus.
- Solid understanding of MLOps, data structures, and software design principles.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with languages like Java or Go.
- Strong knowledge deploying scalable machine learning models using Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and big data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark) is a plus.
