Position Title: Senior Accountant
Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will independently perform daily accounting functions, project accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience with project-based accounting in a product-import or B2B environment. The position involves collaboration with project managers, procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial insight. This role will support the CEO and CFO by providing detailed analytical information to assist in evaluating the financial performance of the organization or divisions thereof. This role offers the potential to grow into a leadership position as the company scales.
You will be responsible for the following areas:
● Perform daily accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and reconciliations
● Lead month-end and year-end close processes
● Maintain accurate project-based costing, revenue recognition, and inventory valuation
● Track landed costs, customs/duties, and freight charges for imported products by project
● Prepare project financial statements and management reporting
● Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis by project
● Support external tax filings and audits
● Support external insurance audits
● Review, document, and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
● Take on increasing responsibility as the company grows
● Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
You have the following experience (at a minimum):
Required:
● Bachelor's degree in accounting
● 2-4+ years of accounting experience, including project-based or job-cost accounting
● Experience with percentage of completion accounting for Revenue Recognition
● Experience with inventory accounting in a product-based business
Preferred:
● CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification
● Experience in accounting for project-based B2B businesses
● Familiarity with internal suppliers, freight logistics, and cost allocations

● Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and data analysis
● Strong ability to interpret complex financial information and identify trends for discrepancies
● Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates integrity in all financial dealings
● Continuously seeks ways to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting processes
You have the following technical skills:
Required:
● Strong Microsoft Suite skills – particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with proficiency in accounting software
Preferred
● Familiarity with QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online
