Human Resources Director.

Summary

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for managing all HR aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment and onboarding, payroll and benefits administration, time and attendance, learning and development, performance evaluations, employee relations, retirement and/or separation. The position works collaboratively with school leadership to ensure competitive, equitable, and compliant compensation practices, including a comprehensive benefits program to support the performance, development, and well-being of the faculty and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate a function that strives to effectively source, develop, and retain talent that aligns with the school's organizational and curricular goals.
  • Manage the recruitment and onboarding processes for employees.
  • Manage and maintain the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), UKG Ready, to ensure accurate employee records and system functionality.
  • Define, develop, and generate key HRIS reporting to facilitate management inquiries and support analyses and compliance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-monthly payroll for all employees, including benefit integration between HRIS and insurance carriers.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Review each payroll for discrepancies and/or missed deductions and troubleshoot to resolve all issues.
  • Prepare and implement compensation and benefit changes for all employees, coordinating required updates in UKG Ready, especially during annual open enrollment.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and other voluntary benefit offerings.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local HR regulations, including labor laws, OSHA standards, and EEO reporting and policies.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Education Administration, or a related field. Master's degree and/or HR-related certification.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in Human Resources and payroll.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of HR information and management platforms. UKG Ready experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience working on complex HR initiatives and solving HR issues.
  • Keen understanding and proficiency of MS Office (Excel and Word, in particular).
  • Strong understanding of HR regulations, including FMLA, ADA, ACA, ERISA, and HIPAA.
