Northrop Grumman is seeking Manufacturing Engineers. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Baltimore, MD. This position will be in the Pathways rotational program where there will be three rotation opportunities within engineering. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Group. NGMS Baltimore Manufacturing Engineers may work collaboratively to:
Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Support production readiness efforts for new manufacturing equipment.
Design sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control
Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Basic Qualifications:
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Have previous internship at Northrop Grumman.
Be completing or has completed their Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Be majoring in or having majored in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, or closely related major.
Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
Salary Range: $ 79, $119,400.00
