Job Summary

As a Local Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods efficiently and safely to their destinations. With core skills in truck driving and commercial driving, you will navigate various routes and ensure timely deliveries to ACC customers. Leveraging your relevant skills in delivery driver experience, forklift operation, and route driving, you will excel in tasks such as loading/unloading cargo, maintaining delivery schedules, operating box trucks, and ensuring compliance with Hazmat regulations. A valid CDL driver's license and at least 1 year of Box Truck or Straight Truck driving is REQUIRED for this role. We are looking for 2 Local Class A CDL drivers for the below schedule and pay:

Schedule: Monday- Friday 9:00am - 7:00pm

Pay: $25.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Maintain valid and appropriate driver's license issued from the state wherein the employee is based
• Communicate with dispatch for loads, paperwork, and daily route information
• Complete daily pre and post trip inspections to equipment that will be used
• Use E-Log on tablet provided by ACC
• Correctly fill out proof of delivery paperwork and acceptance forms
• Have knowledge from training regarding which types of hazmat ACC will and will not accept
• Practice safety procedures learned during training daily to prevent accidents
• Load freight safely using forklift and ensuring proper weight distribution
• Take 10-hour breaks/ layover when necessary for assigned route
• Drives company vehicle (weight class: 25,999 pounds) on public roadways

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid CDL driver's license
• Must hold current medical card or be willing to obtain one
• Must adhere to DOT requirements
• Must be able to pass company background check/drug screen
• Must have good driving record for past 3 years
• Must have at least 1 year of driving experience
