A Physical Therapy Assistant Role Where Care Has Time to Matter

The most meaningful moments in physical therapy rarely happen in a clinic.

They happen in a quiet living room when someone stands without hesitation.

At a kitchen counter , where balance returns and confidence follows.

In the familiar spaces where people realize they can stay independent in the home they love.

That kind of progress does not come from rushing. It comes from time, trust, and presence.

At Aging in Place Specialists in Lewes, Delaware, your role as a Physical Therapy Assistant is built around exactly that kind of care.

You are invited into real homes and real lives , meeting adults at the point where independence matters most. You are given a full hour with each patient, the freedom to slow down , and the trust to deliver care that supports strength, safety, and dignity.

There are no stacked schedules. No production pressure. No chaos to manage.

Just one patient, one visit, and the space to do work that actually matters .

This role is designed for the PTA who believes presence is part of treatment, who values connection over volume , and who wants their work to feel purposeful again.

If you are looking for a role that restores balance, meaning, and pride in your work, you will feel at home here .

Care That Matches the Way You Practice

You will work with adults who have already completed PT or OT and want to remain strong, mobile, and independent in daily life.

These are wellness-focused visits centered on function, safety, and confidence in the home.

Your role is not about pushing volume or checking boxes.

It is about helping people continue living fully in the place that matters most to them.

Every visit allows you to slow down , connect , and deliver thoughtful care with intention.

One Patient for One Full Hour Every Visit

Your time is protected so your care can be intentional .

There are no overlapping appointments. There is no rushing from place to place. There is no pressure to move faster than the work requires.

You are trusted to give each patient your full attention and clinical expertise.

What You'll Do

You will arrive at a patient's home and spend a full hour delivering thoughtful, evidence-based care focused on functional independence and long-term wellness.

After each visit, you will complete a simple SOAP note that clearly captures the session and allows you to move on without administrative drag .

As needed, you will communicate with the supervising PT and care team to ensure continuity, alignment, and high-quality support for every patient.

Simple Documentation That Respects Your Time

There is no complex EMR and no excessive charting.

After each visit, you complete a simple SOAP note in a Google Doc and move on with your day.

No hours spent documenting at night. No administrative overload stealing from your life .

Flexibility Built Around Your Availability

This role is designed to fit your life, not compete with it.

You decide when you work and how your day flows, instead of being dragged from one end of the city to the other with no say in your schedule .

You choose how many visits you take, the pace you keep, and how your time is spent with each patient.

Your days feel steady and intentional , rather than rushed and reactive, with a schedule that respects both your energy and your life outside of work.

Clinician-Led and PT-Owned

This is a PT-owned, clinician-led organization built by people who understand the realities of patient care.

It is not corporate . It is not volume-driven . It is not built around productivity quotas or pressure to move faster than the work requires.

Your clinical judgment is trusted, your experience is respected, and your input is genuinely valued.

You are given the autonomy to make thoughtful decisions, practice with integrity, and deliver care in a way that aligns with both your standards and your patients' needs.
