The HR Administrator supports the Human Resources department by maintaining personnel files, coordinating engagement activities, posting communications, leading recruitment efforts, hosting orientation, and safeguarding new hire assimilation. This role ensures smooth HR operations and helps foster a positive workplace environment through effective administrative support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate recruitment activities by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews for candidates.
- Assist in interviewing candidates and preparing documentation for selection processes.
- Facilitate new employee onboarding by collecting required paperwork, keying new hires into HR systems, and ensuring compliance with company protocols.
- Host employee orientation sessions to introduce policies, workplace culture, and benefits.
- Support employee engagement efforts by organizing site events, distributing communications, and maintaining visibility for HR initiatives.
- Post site-wide communications, updates, and announcements as directed by HR management.
- Help prepare for compliance audits by maintaining accurate and complete personnel files and records.
- Support departmental projects by assisting with data entry, file management, and coordinating project logistics.
- Manage all site-specific HR files and forms, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to retention schedules.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field; completed or in pursuit of.
- At least 2 years of related work experience or education

Communication Skills:
- Communicate clearly and professionally with employees at all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to support conflict resolution and provide effective HR guidance
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Mathematical Skills:
- Perform basic calculations for hours worked on timecards
- Double-check basic payroll calculations to ensure accuracy before submitting to payroll team.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic HRIS navigation and data entry
- Digital document management
- Email and calendar scheduling
Physical Demands:
- Sitting for extended periods
- Walking throughout the facility or office
- Performing filing and organizational tasks
- Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 lbs
Work Environment:
The HR Administrator works primarily within a corporate office setting; however, regular navigation of the production floor will be required. The production area is loud and may involve exposure to fumes and debris, as well as regular interaction with tow motors and overhead cranes. When accessing the production floor, strict adherence to all mandatory PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines is required to ensure safety.
