Dietary Aide

Job Summary
The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the dietary department of our nursing home, ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appealing meals. This position involves assisting in food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. The Dietary Aide will work closely with cooks and other staff to deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to food handling regulations.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
• Serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring proper portion sizes.
• Buss tables and clean dining areas after meals, maintaining a tidy environment for residents.
• Sanitate kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas to uphold health and safety standards.
• Support food production processes by assisting cooks with ingredient preparation and inventory management.
• Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and sanitation practices.
• Communicate effectively with residents, addressing any dietary concerns or preferences they may have.

Skills

• Experience in a dietary department or food service setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and sanitation practices is essential.
