Environmental Specialist II

Under moderate direction, performs basic tasks according to highly specific departmental policies and procedures in order to maintain an aseptic, safe, clean, and attractive environment for the hospital.

• Extract/Bonnet Carpets.

• Strip/Finish, Scrub/Recoat Hard floors.

• Remove Bulk Trash/Soiled Linen and Bio-Hazardous Waste.

• Complete Project Work, as assigned.

• Interact with Patients/Guests/Staff.

• Complete Set-Ups/Furniture Moves.

• Operate Electric/Battery Operated Rotary/Walk-Behind Machines, Wet Vacuums and Other Equipment, as required.

• Deliver Supplies (i.e. paper products, soap, etc.)

• Complete miscellaneous cleaning tasks, as assigned.

• Pay starting at $15.00.

Required

• Ability to understand simple oral instructions and communicate simple job-related problems.

• Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school graduate or equivalent
