The Warehouse Associate is an essential part of the warehouse team and plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse. This position is responsible for various tasks related to receiving, storing, organizing and shipping goods.

Responsibilities:

  • Shipping and receiving domestic and international orders using UPS WorldShip and Fed Ex Manager software

  • Maintain shipping and shipment accuracy of orders to our customer base

  • Maintain safe and organized warehouse

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders

  • Inspect shipments for damages, discrepancies or quality issues

  • Ensure accurate documentation of received goods

  • Update inventory records accordingly

  • Report shipping and receiving discrepancies

  • Build kits and assemblies

  • Palletized shipments for LTL

  • Perform cycle counts on inventory items

  • Label and store products in designated areas

  • Prepare orders for shipment based on order requirements

  • Prepare shipping documents

  • Operate material handling equipment

  • Comply with regulatory guidelines, including OSHA standards, federal, state and local warehousing,

material handling, shipping and safety requirements

  • Enforce adherence to requirements, advising management on needed actions

  • Identify and report potential safety hazards

  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals

  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skills

  • Others as assigned by management

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least three to five year of previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (i.e., forklift, wave picker, reach truck, pallet jack, etc.)

  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including but not limited to lifting, carrying and moving

heavy objects in a fast paced environment

  • Proficient in computer applications and business software (i.e, Microsoft, NetSuite, OMW software)

Supervisory Responsibility:

None.

Work Environment:

Employees primarily work in the warehouse and are exposed to dust, mechanical hazards, and moving objects or other vehicles. May be exposed to cold and hot temperatures. Employees may interact with staff and/or public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.

Physical Demands:

Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory, to operate a motor vehicle and forklift; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. The job involves walking and being on feet for long periods of time. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, calculator and handheld device. Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50

pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week during standard

business hours. Additional work outside of standard business hours may be required.
