Provides technical leadership and support in defining and documenting technical requirements and direction for IT projects. Collaborates closely with enterprise architects and IT leadership, ensures solutions adhere to both business and technical standards while supporting project managers in developing and coordinating roadmaps to establish a clear technical vision. Evaluates, develops, and plans the adoption of new technologies, including proof-of-concept implementations. Reviews and maintains IT technical standards and, plays a critical role in shaping the organization's technical strategy and innovation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contributes to complex projects that are long-term in nature or projects that have been identified as a critical priority for the user community and have significant financial impact to the organization.
- Possesses advanced technical, industry and corporate knowledge to effectively support complex IT projects that may have not been addressed within the organization previously.
- Supports project managers in the effective implementation of systems solutions for internal business partners. Monitors project managers and assigned IT project resources to achieve target project schedules within budget.
- Communicates technical direction and solutions with project team and internal business partners.
- Interacts with other internal and external technical leaders. Enlists assistance and support from other technical specialists, as projects require.
- Reviews technical documentation to ensure consistency across specifications.
- Assists in ensuring functional specifications are interpreted correctly and handed off accurately to technical staff.
- Coordinates and communicates within project team to explain potential impact of technical decisions as necessary.
- Addresses technology issues and analyzes business problems as they relate to the achievement of project objectives.
- Ensures optimum project cost efficiencies and the achievement of the highest customer service levels are being executed.
- Maintains current understanding of new and emerging technologies to maintain skill levels necessary to provide the highest quality service to the organization.
- Assists in achieving specific technical deliverables for a project as required.
- Identifies risk related to IT Systems, including Security, compliance, and operational risks.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of technology deployment and deployment lifecycle across on Prem and cloud technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of project management concepts, methodologies, and practices.
- Advanced facilitation, problem resolution, negotiation, and team building skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Intermediate knowledge of the BGC Planning system for the purposes of planning, forecasting and budgeting.
- Ability to prepare project reports, presentations, and related correspondence.
- Ability to accurately estimate project planning and completion times.
- Ability to understand technical ramifications of recommendations and decisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
- Ability to effectively interact across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to show information in presentation or diagram form.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and five or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
Physical Demands:
- Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.
- Frequently required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.
- Frequently required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).
