Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school program. The Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of the broad range of communication treatment programs that meet the needs of the students served. He or she is directly responsible to the Principal/Assistant Principal.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Agency Responsibilities
Attend all in-services, meetings, and activities as directed by Executive Director.
Be available to assist in general development of programs and services offered by the
agency.
Comply with agency personnel policies and other duties/directives as assigned.
School Responsibilities
Assess students to determine speech and language skill levels, abilities and deficit
areas.
Develop individualized speech/language programs that address the student's needs.
Consult with classroom staff for the purpose of improving speech/language training
procedures.
Assist in lifting and carrying of students who weigh up to 150 pounds.
Assist children in toileting needs, i.e. placing on potty, changing diapers, depending on
individual needs of the student.
Complete all required reports, forms, charts, etc. (Home Visist Reports, Incident
Reports, Parent Reports, IEP, etc.)
Provide staff/parent in-services as they relate to Speech/Language training aides
available for use with severely/profoundly handicapped population.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education (minimum requirements for education and experience)
Master's Degree – Speech-Language Pathology
Certification/Licensure/Registration required for Illinois License or ISBE Certification.

Pay: $57,489.60 per year
