The Product Manager – Heavy Duty Filtration plays a key role in driving the success of assigned product categories within the heavy-duty filtration portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, this role balances technical expertise and business acumen to guide products through their entire lifecycle — from concept and design to market launch and end-of-life management.
With a solid foundation in mechanical engineering, the Product Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, catalog, and sales, to ensure product initiatives align with company objectives and meet customer expectations. This role is ideal for an experienced technical professional looking to expand their career in product management and contribute to the innovation and growth of filtration solutions for heavy-duty and off-highway applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Manage product lifecycle activities, including new product development, line extensions, and discontinuations.
- Conduct market research, analyze competitor offerings, and identify trends to support data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical product requirements and ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Support the Senior Product Manager in developing business cases, product strategies, and launch plans.
- Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure product availability and quality.
- Assist with product pricing, margin analysis, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Monitor product performance, gather customer feedback, and recommend improvements.
- Provide support to sales and marketing teams, including product training and the development of promotional materials.
- Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of product information in internal systems and databases.
- Lead or participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with 1-2 years of experience in product management, engineering, or technical roles, preferably in filtration or automotive.
- Strong technical understanding of filtration systems and applications, along with knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in filtration products.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking skills, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate across departments and in international or multicultural environments.
