Automation Control Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Controls Technician to join our engineering team in West Chester Township, OH In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining pharmacy automation equipment to ensure efficient prescription drug distribution. This position requires strong electrical and mechanical expertise, safety knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical and mechanical equipment up to 3-phase 480V, including AC/DC motors, motor controls, gearmotors, pneumatic cylinders, valve banks, conveyors, belts, bearings, and VFDs.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment, devices and components.
• Troubleshoot, routinely inspect equipment and electro-pneumatic controls as necessary on automated equipment.
• Report to Maintenance Supervisor on equipment condition and status as necessary.
• Install all new equipment including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and computer systems.
• Maintain an extremely clean work environment.
• Reduce machine downtime, improve throughput and overall performance of machines.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules by thoroughly documenting all issues, repairs, parts used, recommendations, etc.
• Must possess a sense of urgency on troubleshooting and repairing equipment for minimal downtime.
• Possess excellent project/assignment completion record.
• Ability to work independently.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of electrical/mechanical experience
• POS programing knowledge
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs
