Part Time P&D Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Part Time P&D Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight and materials to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups. This role requires a strong focus on safety, route efficiency, and excellent driving skills, particularly with specialized trucks such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks. The position offers flexible hours suitable for individuals with prior delivery driver experience looking to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
• Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
• Plan and follow optimal delivery routes to ensure timely service.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to maintain safety and compliance.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly.
• Comply with all federal, state, and company transportation regulations.
• Assist with forklift operations when necessary for loading or unloading freight.

Experience

• Prior experience in truck driving or commercial driving is preferred, especially with route driving and freight delivery.
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks is a plus.
• Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is desirable.
• Delivery driver experience involving load & unload procedures is advantageous.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight transportation and vehicle maintenance is essential.
