Server/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, handling food and cash transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Experience in food preparation, POS systems such as Aloha and Micros, and familiarity with the food industry are highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills, enhance sales techniques through upselling, and contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems like Aloha and Micros
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cashiering duties with precision
• Prepare and serve food items according to safety and sanitation standards
• Assist with food preparation tasks when necessary, including basic cooking or assembly
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction
• Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly demeanor
• Maintain cleanliness of dining area, counters, and workstations through bussing and sanitation practices
• Follow food safety protocols related to handling, storage, and serving of food products
• Support team members in various restaurant operations including kitchen assistance and food handling

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, quick service, or fast food restaurant preferred but not required
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
• Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment with excellent time management skills
• Experience with food preparation or culinary tasks is advantageous
• Ability to work efficiently during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
• Previous experience in retail math or grocery store operations is beneficial but not mandatory
