Bakery Team Leader

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bakery Team Leader to join our team. This hands-on role is responsible for crafting artisan breads, pastries, cinnamon rolls, and pies while mentoring a small team of bakers. You will work closely with management to oversee daily production, maintain quality standards, and ensure smooth operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and assist in daily bakery operations, ensuring timely production of breads, pastries, cinnamon rolls, and pies.
• Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation for all products.
• Train and mentor bakery staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Manage production schedules and optimize workflows for efficiency and minimal waste.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ingredient ordering with management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Collaborate on menu development, seasonal offerings, and specialty items.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support wholesale growth initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in artisan bread and pastry production; must be able to make pies.
• Strong knowledge of baking principles, techniques, and ingredients.
• Familiarity with dietary alternatives (gluten-free, vegan) is a plus.
• ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 4 months).
• Proficiency in recipe scaling, production planning, and basic computer skills for scheduling and inventory.
• Ability to work early mornings and flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and navigating stairs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
