Local CDL Class A Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and delivering freight to designated locations within the local area. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and excellent driving skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional service. Candidates with experience in commercial driving, route driving, and load & unload operations are encouraged to apply.

Duties

• Operate trucks with automated transmission,
• Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and issues.
• Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents.
• Assist with route planning to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.

Experience

• Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight transportation within local areas.
• Experience with freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route driving.
• Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle types operated; experience with manual transmission preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to drive safely over long periods while maintaining attention to detail and adherence to schedules. This position offers an opportunity for experienced drivers to utilize their skills in a dynamic environment focused on safety and customer satisfaction.

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
