Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
• Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including powertrain components, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
• Conduct vehicle inspections to assess mechanical condition and determine necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Utilize schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems.
• Execute repairs involving ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), wheel alignments, and suspension systems to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools efficiently and safely.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, brake service, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
• Assist with auto estimating processes by accurately assessing repair costs and communicating with customers about needed services.
• Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with manufacturer standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver outstanding customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Experience

• Proven dealership experience or equivalent automotive service technician background preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle makes and models, especially GM vehicles.
• Experience working with ADAS technology, schematics interpretation, and automotive electrical systems.
• Skilled in diagnosing issues related to powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and automotive electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience with vehicle alignment procedures and suspension repairs.
• Familiarity with auto estimating software and repair documentation processes is a plus.
• Service technician experience demonstrating the ability to handle complex repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
