DevOps Engineer – Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled
DevOps Engineer
to join our team and help streamline development, deployment, and operational processes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with CI/CD, containerization, cloud platforms, automation, and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain
  CI/CD pipelines
  (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Manage and automate
  infrastructure provisioning
  using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Deploy and manage applications on
  cloud environments
  (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Implement containerization and orchestration using
  Docker
  and
  Kubernetes
  .
• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or CloudWatch.
• Improve deployment frequency, reduce lead time, and enhance system resilience.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices.
• Maintain version control and branching strategies using
  Git
  .
• Implement and maintain
  security best practices
  (IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning).
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues across environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a
  DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer
  .
• Hands-on expertise in
  AWS/GCP/Azure
  cloud services.
• Strong experience with
  Linux administration
  .
• Solid understanding of
  IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
  .
• Experience with
  Docker
  ,
  Kubernetes
  , and container registries.
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools.
• Strong scripting experience (Python, Bash, Shell, PowerShell).
• Good understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPC, Load Balancers, VPN).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of service mesh tools (Istio, Linkerd).
• Experience with configuration tools (Chef, Puppet).
• Exposure to serverless technologies (Lambda, Cloud Functions).
• Experience with cost optimization practices for cloud.
