It's a small, execution-driven environment designed for builders who excel in fast-moving, iterative settings.

The Role

We're seeking a Backend Engineer eager to work onsite in NYC and operate at a high pace alongside a compact, experienced technical team. This role centers on rapid execution, hands-on prototyping, and leveraging AI tools to accelerate development. If you're accustomed to shipping MVPs frequently and thrive in high-speed environments, this could be a strong match.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support backend systems that enable rapid product iteration
• Use AI tools and LLM integrations to enhance engineering velocity
• Prototype quickly—transforming ideas into real, functional products in days
• Iterate continuously, including revisiting or refactoring solutions as needed
• Work closely with designers, founders, and engineers across multiple locations
• Aggregate data, automate processes, and connect backend systems with AI/LLM components

Your Experience

• Solid backend engineering foundation
• Portfolio of personal builds, startup prototypes, or independent projects
• Ability to operate independently without extensive guidance
• Comfortable with ambiguity, quick pivots, and shifting priorities
• High curiosity, strong drive, and a calm, confident working style
• Practical experience with AI tools or LLM integrations
• Preference for candidates with upward career momentum and project-heavy backgrounds
• Not targeting purely big-tech profiles or candidates with long employment gaps
