We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager. This person will have responsibility for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of cross-functional project initiatives to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The role will collaboratively coordinate delivering key initiatives that span across the Schurz Broadband portfolio of broadband companies consisting of Antietam Broadband; Burlington Telecom; Hiawatha Broadband; Long Lines Broadband; NKTelco; and Orbitel Communications.

Position Title: Project Manager

Location: Remote

Rate: $90,000-$130,000 annually

Reports to: CTO

Position Type: Full-time

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Project Planning and Execution
    • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Team Leadership
    • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Project Monitoring and Reporting
    • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Risk Management
    • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

You will need to have:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's in Project Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of five (5) years of direct successful project management experience in the telecommunications or technology sector, with a focus on fiber broadband or service technology.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in handling a diverse range of projects simultaneously.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of fiber and broadband infrastructure or technology industry.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Asana).
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Certifications:
    • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent proven
