Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable attorney to join the Tromberg, Miller, Morris & Partners, PLLC family. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of foreclosure law and ability to lead, mentor and supervise attorneys for our New York practice group while providing expert legal advice and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee workflow, productivity, and file quality to ensure compliance with firm standards and client expectations.
  • Assist with associate attorney training.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex cases and procedural challenges
  • Manage a caseload of advanced or sensitive foreclosure matters.
  • Develop litigation strategies and provide guidance to the team, argue motions, attend court conferences, conduct legal research and prepare pleadings.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case progress and strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state foreclosure requirements, including NY-specific procedural rules.
  • Collaborating with the firm's other attorneys, paralegals and support staff to move files efficiently.
  • Collaborate with leadership on process improvements, performance metrics, and departmental growth.
  • Maintain accurate, timely billing and documentation.
  • Traveling to and from various courts as needed.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law and in good standing in New York State courts required.
  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in foreclosure matters, foreclosure litigation, real estate litigation and/or creditor's rights.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising attorneys or teams
  • Courtroom experience required.
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to handle a caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced understanding of foreclosure practice, commercial and residential actions, CPLR, RPAPL, motions practice and courtroom advocacy.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125, $175,000.00 per year
