Job Title: Linux Engineer

As a Linux Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our IT infrastructure, ensuring that our systems run smoothly and efficiently. You will harness your expertise in Linux operating systems to design, implement, and maintain robust solutions that drive our business forward. Your role is crucial in enhancing our cloud security, optimizing system performance, and supporting our development teams with seamless integration and deployment processes.

What you'll do

• Design and implement service-oriented architecture to support scalable applications.
• Manage system administration tasks across various operating systems, including Linux and Windows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solution architecture that meets business needs.
• Optimize ETL processes for efficient data management and integration.
• Ensure cloud security best practices are followed while managing AWS and Azure environments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement system hardening measures to protect sensitive information.
• Utilize scripting languages such as Bash and Python for automation of routine tasks.
• Participate in Agile development processes to enhance continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Basic qualifications

• Strong understanding of computer science principles and systems engineering practices.
• Proficiency in managing databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and virtualization technologies such as VMware.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with programming languages including Java, C++, C#, Ruby on Rails, or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of web services protocols such as RESTful API and SOAP.
• Experience with DevOps practices including configuration management tools like Jenkins or Git.
• Understanding of network protocols including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall configurations.
