Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and maintaining quality records such as quality events, deviations, corrective action plans, effectiveness checks, and routine batch/lot and quality control information
- Perform data entry, record management, and reporting tasks within the Quality Management System to ensure data accuracy and traceability
- Certificate of analysis review and maintenance of the COA database locally and on our website
- Following up with the appropriate channels when mistakes or deviations are found
- Ensuring equipment is maintained and calibrated, and that the audit trail is in order, including balances, gauges, and probes
- Perform routine quality inspections and sampling of raw materials, in-process blends, and finished products
- Maintain accurate and organized quality records, batch documentation, spec sheets, and compliance reports
- Support review and control of Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Assist in internal audits, non-conformance reporting, and follow-up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Participate in equipment calibration and environmental monitoring
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across quality systems and production workflows
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Botany, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Quality Management) is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience (0-2 years) in quality assurance in manufacturing, agriculture, food processing, or hemp-related industries, quality control desired but not necessary
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, HACCP, or GMP is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and excellent organizational skills
- Experience with information management systems is a plus
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as familiarity with technical language used in documents
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency
