Class A CDL Driver – Asphalt

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class A CDL Driver specializing in asphalt and construction materials to join our team as a Working Driver. This role involves operating various commercial trucks to transport materials safely and efficiently to job sites. The ideal candidate will have experience with route driving, load & unload operations, and a strong understanding of safety protocols in the construction and transportation industry. In addition to driving duties, this position requires assisting with general laboras needed to support daily production. This role is ideal for a driver who understands construction work and takes pride in being part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A vehicles including: Dump trucks, Tractor-trailers, Lowboys
• Safely haul asphalt, aggregate, and construction materials to and from job sites
• Transport equipment when required
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance
• Shoveling, raking, and lute work
• Ground support for paving and grading crews
• Traffic control and site cleanup
• Communicate effectively with foremen, dispatch, and plant personnel
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned truck
• Follow all company safety policies and job site procedures

Skills

• Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record.
• 7-10 years of CDL driving experience (asphalt or construction experience strongly preferred)
• Willingness and ability to perform physical labor as needed
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions
• Strong understanding of DOT and safety regulations
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $31.00 per hour
