Are you energetic, creative, and passionate about building meaningful experiences for vibrant older adults?
Lakeview Village—an award-winning, wellness-focused senior living community—is seeking a Community Life Coordinator to help design and deliver engaging programs for Independent Living residents.

This is not a long-term care activities position.
This role supports active, independent adults who enjoy lifelong learning, social connection, fitness, arts, culture, and community involvement.

What You'll Do

As a key member of the Community Life team, you'll help create a lively campus environment by:

  • Planning and coordinating daily programs, classes, and special events that support whole-person wellness—intellectual, physical, social, emotional, spiritual, vocational, and environmental.
  • Supporting events across campus: scheduling rooms, arranging setups, coordinating A/V needs, and ensuring events run smoothly.
  • Preparing the monthly LakeViews calendar and assisting with announcements, birthdays, anniversaries, and Community App updates.
  • Serving as a friendly liaison to resident groups and clubs.
  • Helping transport residents as needed (must have or be willing to obtain a CDL).
  • Occasionally assisting at reception desks to keep our community welcoming and well-supported.
  • Maintaining strong communication through bulletin boards, App posts, program flyers, and more.
  • Collaborating across departments to ensure a cohesive, engaging resident experience.

  • Skilled at connecting with older adults, volunteers, and a variety of staff teams.
  • A natural communicator—friendly, professional, and a great listener.
  • Patient, flexible, and enthusiastic, even in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently and problem-solve when plans change.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED (Associate's degree preferred)
  • Class B or C CDL—or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to recruit, engage, and support volunteers
  • Comfort using technology for scheduling, communication, and A/V support
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of a dynamic campus environment

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Must have a Class B or Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL), or be willing to obtain one.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to recruit, train, and oversee resident volunteers to assist with events.
  • Demonstrates good communications skills, including but not limited to effective reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills, with a fluent understanding of English.
  • Must demonstrate leadership qualities, supervisory skills, and strong interpersonal relationship skills.  
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks appropriately, and exercise sound judgement where procedures cannot be standardized.
  • Must display patience, flexibility, creative thinking skills; position is subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.
  • Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.
