Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck or similar commercial vehicle to deliver products to customers across designated routes.
• Load and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual handling techniques, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery schedules.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers politely, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction upon delivery.
• Verify delivery contents against invoices, complete necessary paperwork, and obtain signatures when required.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory, organizing stock, and preparing shipments for delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during routes.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, practicing responsible driving at all times.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a similar logistics role, with a strong focus on route driving and customer service.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or commercial vehicles preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, including experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual lifting techniques.
• Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks such as moving and loading goods safely.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and heavy lifting equipment.
• Excellent organizational skills to plan routes and manage delivery schedules efficiently.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Ability to work independently, stay motivated, and handle multiple deliveries in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and vehicle maintenance.
