Join our dynamic transportation team as a Independent Contracted Flatbed and Moffett Driver, where your expertise will drive our success forward In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for safely operating flatbed trucks and various tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently across routes.

This is a local delivery position not OTR. This is also a Independent Contractor Position. Must have CDL, and Moffett/Forklift experience.

Duties

• Safely operate flatbed trucks, tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes.
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring secure and proper handling of freight.
• Drive confidently on route driving assignments, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Verify freight manifests and documentation for accuracy before loading and after delivery.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure optimal safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo details for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or any issues encountered during transit.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for flatbed, refrigerated trailer, tanker, or other specialized trucks.
• Proven experience in truck driving—preferably with flatbed and tractor-trailer operations—along with delivery driver experience in freight transportation.
• Skilled in manual transmission operation; experience with load securing on flatbeds is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts safely when loading or unloading freight.
• Strong understanding of route planning and navigation for efficient deliveries.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively.
