The Axel Group is currently seeking a Superintendent to join our client's team in New Jersey. Our client is a well-established design-build ground improvement contractor that partners with leading owners, GCs, and developers across sectors such as warehouses/distribution, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, highway and infrastructure, and private developments. Their work focuses on geotechnical/ground-improvement solutions - stabilizing weak or variable soils with specialized systems so major construction projects can be built safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

The Superintendent role is a field-driven, heavy civil leadership position focused on overseeing ground-improvement operations on projects that are geographically aligned with where you live (North or South Jersey and surrounding areas). This individual will be responsible for planning and driving daily/weekly work in the field, coordinating specialty equipment and crews, enforcing site safety, and ensuring all ground-improvement systems are installed in accordance with the engineered design and project requirements. The position works closely with project engineers, project managers, and client/GC site teams - translating technical plans into safe, productive, and high-quality work in the field.

While the role is tied into our client's New Jersey office,
projects are primarily regional and assigned to make sense based on the Superintendent's home base, with only occasional travel within the broader Northeast if needed.
It offers the chance to work in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment with a respected and established contractor. The company provides a highly competitive compensation package, including strong base salary, annual bonus potential, vehicle allowance, and full benefits (medical, dental, vision, PTO, retirement, and stock options), along with clear opportunities for professional development and long-term career advancement.
