Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
The position will assist with all general foundry maintenance, preventative maintenance, trouble shooting of hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as welding and fabrication. The individual must be able to work well under pressure both alone and as part of a team. He/she must also be able to rapidly switch from one task to another as the need may arise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work from available drawings and equipment specifications and schematics.
• Perform inspections (both preventative and routine).
• Repair & maintenance to industrial production machinery or equipment in a foundry environment.
• Cooperate with supervisors, machine operators and other maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
• Respond to needs for immediate repair of production equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as inspecting motors, belts, drives, replacing filters, etc. and other preventative maintenance actions.
• Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, and maintain all mechanical equipment in the foundry environment.
• Trouble shoot and repair all types of plant and production equipment (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, etc.)
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Troubleshoot and ensure machine uptime on overhead cranes, sand mixers, conveyors, and other foundry equipment.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Work independently as well as collaborate and work with other co-workers at all levels of the organization.
• Maintain a safe work environment for maintenance personnel and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Essential Physical Functions:

• Ability to work in manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work long hours while standing or operating equipment.
• Ability to work in high temperatures at times.
• Ability to move/lift objects and materials of at least 40 lbs.

Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate across departments, verbally and in written form.
• Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have excellent mechanical skills and knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems for production equipment.

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday approximately 8-10hrs/day. Some weekends may be mandatory depending on workload and downtime.

Position available on 1st or 3rd shift

Prior industrial maintenance experience required.
