HVAC Piping Installer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Piping Installer to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have some background in construction. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment, utilizing a broad skill set including welding, equipment repair, and property maintenance. A valid driver's license is required to ensure timely travel between job sites.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble piping systems for HVAC, refrigeration, and other mechanical applications according to schematics and design specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and HVAC plans to ensure accurate installation
• Cut, fit, thread, press and join pipes using a variety of tools and equipment to meet project specifications
• Apply pipefitting techniques such as brazing, soldering, pressing & threading to fabricate pipe systems
• Select appropriate pipe materials, such as copper, black iron, PVC, pex and other materials, based on project requirements
• Conduct pressure tests and inspections to ensure the integrity and safety of piping systems
• Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and building codes
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used

Qualifications

• EPA Certification
• State of Maine Gas license or willingness to obtain
• Understanding of mechanical concepts and principles
• Possession of a clean driver's license and reliable transportation
• Comfort and proficiency in using various hand tools commonly employed in piping work
• Ability to work comfortably and safely on ladders and staging when necessary
• Possess general safety knowledge and awareness in a workplace setting
• Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic
• Be eligible and authorized to work in the United States

This position requires a candidate to be willing to work with foremen to learn the trade. Candidates with a broad range of mechanical skills including welding, equipment repair, or service experience in HVAC/R are encouraged to apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
