Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Cleaning Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations across various facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive janitorial and custodial experience, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, ensure quality service, and contribute to a clean and welcoming environment in hospitality, commercial, or institutional settings. This position is integral to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients and guests. Shift: Monday-Friday, 4:00pm-12:00am.

Duties

  • Provide direct supervision, leadership and coordination to cleaning staff, monitoring performance, and ensure that cleaning duties are carried out effectively.
  • Provide scheduling and staff management by creating work schedules, managing staff availability, and ensuring adequate coverage for all cleaning tasks by covering any open positions as needed during call-offs, etc. at all client locations.
  • Assist with training and development by providing training to new cleaning staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and the use of cleaning equipment.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring cleaning supplies, requesting new supplies as needed, delivering cleaning supplies to client locations, and maintaining organized inventory systems at all client locations.
  • Conduct monthly quality control inspections of client locations to ensure that they meet established standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Address and resolve any complaints or concerns from clients or cleaning staff regarding cleaning services and maintain a positive and professional relationship with clients and cleaning staff.
  • Enforce safety procedures, promote safe work practices, and ensure compliance with health and hygiene regulations.
  • Communicate with other departments and the OPS MNGR to coordinate cleaning activities and address any related issues.
  • Conduct performance reviews of cleaning staff, identifying areas for improvement, and providing feedback.
  • Conduct investigations into customer complaints, workplace and safety incidents, personnel matters, and other serious incidents.
  • Assist with budget management by eliminating waste and unnecessary spending.
  • Recommend and implement work plans at new and existing client locations.
  • Prepare and present reports to the OPS MNGR on cleaning operations, staff performance, and inventory levels.
  • Oversee and coordinate special projects as needed.
  • Familiarize and stay up to date with all company policies and procedures and provide guidance to cleaning staff.
  • Recommend policy and procedural changes to the OPS MNGR.
  • Other duties assigned by the OPS MNGR.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Clean criminal background.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Google, ADP, and Windows operating systems.
  • 2+ years of cleaning experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience with references.
  • Must be willing to travel during scheduled shift.
  • Must be willing to work overtime if needed.

Skills

  • Proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping management roles within hospitality or commercial environments
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate a team
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of various cleaning techniques including commercial cleaning, laundry services, and hotel housekeeping operations
  • Ability to train staff effectively on cleaning procedures and safety standards
  • Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills for team coordination and client interaction
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment, supplies, and maintenance protocols
  • Experience in managing large teams or overseeing multiple facilities is preferred

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
