Role Summary
As a CNC Mill Operator, you will ensure high-quality products are being completed by operating and setting up CNC Mill machinery for each job, adjusting tools/parts within machine as needed, handling unfinished and finished parts, maintaining machinery equipment in working conditions, and performing initial quality inspections of products.
2nd Shift - 230 PM to 11 PM w/ 10% Shift Premium
3rd Shift PM to 7 AM w/ 10% Shift Premium
Responsibilities include:
- Set up and operate CNC Mill machinery (Mori Seiki NV5000 & HAAS 3-5 axis) according to product specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and support for machinery as needed
- Inspect finished parts to ensure quality, and complete quality system requirements as they pertain to specific job functions
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and part quality issues to ensure products meet required specifications and tolerances
- Lifting, pulling, and adjusting parts 5-25 lbs into and out of machinery
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawing, and/or schematics to understand project requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation related to inspections, setups, and other required machines or part updates.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Read, understand and interpret blue prints, part drawings and project related documentation
- Use measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators and comparators
- Technical problem-solving skills and ability to perform basic math calculations
- Effective communication (verbal and written) and attention to detail
Experience:
- 1-3 years experience in Milling or General Machining required
- 3-5 years experience in CNC Milling (Haas or Mori Seiki) preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
