Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to assist effectively during various dental procedures.

Duties

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control standards.
• Take digital x-rays and CBCT scans as needed.
• Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Manage patient flow and ensure a welcoming atmosphere in the clinic.
• Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when required.

Skills

• Proficient in dental terminology to communicate effectively with the dental team and patients.
• Knowledge of infection control practices to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Experience with imaging techniques, including X-rays and 3D scanning technology.
• Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, especially children in pediatrics.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Hours

Monday -Thursday - 8:30am to 5:00pm and Friday - 8:30am to 1:00pm

On occasion cover our Streamwood office, Irvington Dental located at 945 W. Irving Park Rd, Streamwood IL 60107.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
