Overview
The Front Desk Manager oversees the daily operations of the front desk to ensure exceptional guest service and smooth check-in/check-out processes. This role is responsible for managing front desk staff, maintaining high standards of hospitality, and ensuring compliance with hotel policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities
Guest Service Excellence:

  • Ensure all guests receive a warm welcome and prompt, courteous service.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues efficiently to maintain satisfaction.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise, train, and schedule front desk staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching for improvement.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee check-in/check-out procedures, room assignments, and billing accuracy.
  • Monitor reservations and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams.
  • Maintain front desk supplies and equipment.

Financial & Administrative Duties:

  • Manage cash handling and daily reconciliation of front desk transactions.
  • Prepare reports on occupancy, revenue, and guest feedback.

Corporate Negotiated Rate Management:

  • Manage corporate negotiated rates and seek out new accounts.
  • Maintain relationships with existing corporate accounts.

Compliance & Standards:

  • Ensure adherence to hotel policies, safety regulations, and brand standards.
  • Implement and maintain front office SOPs.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in front desk or guest services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, PMS systems).
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time; flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
