Compensation:
$23 - $26 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Drafting litigation documents such as petitions, motions, notices, and designations
- Maintaining and updating case information in our case management system
- Calendaring and tracking deadlines to ensure full compliance
- Assisting with Minor Settlements and Friendly Suits
- Coordinating and reviewing medical and billing records
- Communicating with clients regarding case status, settlement options, and discovery (under attorney direction)
- Preparing attorneys for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
- Conducting legal and factual research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, Texas SOS, Public Data, and other tools
- Drafting service-ready discovery responses for attorney review
- E-filing in state and federal courts
- Performing lien searches and assisting with settlement and disbursement documents
- Supporting clients with discovery review, deposition preparation, and overall case management
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Moderate to heavy Plaintiff Personal Injury litigation experience (auto/truck accidents preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Experience with case management software (Litify or similar)
Preferred (But Not Required)
- Paralegal Certification
- Federal court experience and e-filing
- Notary Public
- Fluent in Spanish
