Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our dynamic team in the food industry. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food management. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for the hospitality sector, particularly in restaurant management and banquet services.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide outstanding customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Assist in managing food quality and presentation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Help with budgeting and inventory management to optimize resource allocation.
• Train, mentor, and support staff in their roles, fostering a positive work environment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant area, including dining spaces and kitchen facilities.
• Handle cash management duties as required during shifts.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in restaurant management or as a shift leader.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Knowledge of food management practices, including health regulations and safety standards.
• Experience with budgeting and inventory control is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with coffee preparation or bartending is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.
• A passion for cooking or culinary arts is an advantage.
