Assistant Teacher

Eick Global STEM Academy is a small business in Monroe, OH. We are professional, creative, and our goal is to develop innovative thinkers and the design process in our students

We are looking for a dependable Assistant Teacher to join our team to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our students.

32 Hours/Week
7:30am - 2:30pm
Monday - Friday
Flexibility for additional hours dependent on ratio and staffing.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a passion for teaching young children.
• Have the ability to implement creative and engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
• Have the ability to foster positive relationships with parents/guardians and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

• Implement lesson plans for children.
• Supervise and monitor the safety of all children in the classroom and beyond.
• Be responsible for diaper changes and toilet training when applicable.
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
• Organize activities that develop motor skills, social skills, and problem-solving skills.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Must pass background checks and drug screenings.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent education.

We offer training for new staff where one can earn their Child Development Associate (CDA) if you do not already have a higher educational degree.
